    Who do you admire the most and why  My sister. PhD in physics from MIT, two wonderful grown children, a green thumb, a dedicated scientist, modest, gracious and smart. My hero.

    Your worst habit  Forming quick judgments and then having to backtrack just as quickly

    The first thing you think of in the morning  Get the dog out, quick!

    What have you always wanted to do and have not done  Live in Rome

    Your best decision  Marrying Eric

    Your worst decision  Not having the guts to move to New York right after college. Instead, I accepted a college teaching job and stayed until I got tenure. Then I resigned and moved New York in 1982.  I should have gotten here sooner.

    Your favorite street and why  Waterbury Street in East Williamsburg. All my motifs are there.

    What has made you the person that you are  The terror of being mediocre

    Something you treasure  My mother’s Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair 

    What would the child you once were think of the adult you are now  You got to be an artist and live in the greatest city in the world, fulfilling your earliest ambition.  Beyond lucky.
